MCA

MCA (Master of Computer Application) at Guru Nanak Institute of Management is a two year full time Programme affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and approved by AICTE and DTTE. The intake for the MCA Programme is 90 students every year.

The Programme is divided in four semesters. The first three semesters provide a strong foundation in basic and core concepts of Information Technology, latest technologies and networking concepts. The last semester of the curriculum is devoted to internship in leading IT organizations. The Programme equips students with the skill and relevant competence to handle all practical problems faced in the industry. The MCA programme concentrates on a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. It is intended to provide a modern industry-based education in applied Computer Science and Applications.GNIM backed by the rich experience of imparting education takes pride in offering MCA Programme under affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh lndraprastha University (GGSIPU).

PO2 Problem Analysis (PA) Identify, formulate and analyze complex real-life problems in order to arrive at computationally viable conclusions using fundamentals of mathematics, computer sciences, management and relevant domain disciplines.
PO3 Design / Development of Solutions (DDS) Design efficient solutions for complex, real-world problems to design systems, components or processes that meet the specifications with suitable consideration to public health, safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct Investigations of Complex Computing Problems (CICP) Ability to research, analyze and investigate complex computing problems through design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to arrive at valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern Tool Usage (MTU) Create, select, adapt and apply appropriate technologies and tools to a wide range of computational activities while understanding their limitations

Admission Process:
All admissions shall be on the basis of entrance exam NIMCET/ CET/ CUET.

Admission Criteria:

Passed BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/B.Sc. (Technology)/ B.Voc. (Software Engg.) or equivalent or Passed at least 03 years Bachelors Degree with mathematics/statistics at 10+2 level or graduation level. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examinations.
