The last alumni meet at Grand Plaza was an unforgettable evening, filled with nostalgia as GNIM alumni came together to reconnect. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Mr. Tajinder Singh and his team, along with the support of the Alumni Association office bearers, the event kicked off with a soulful Shabad by students. The evening included official ceremonies like the introduction of office bearers and certificate distribution to placement cell members. Alumni who had made significant contributions to the college were honored with gifts and certificates. Heartwarming stories and valuable insights were shared by alumni, offering inspiration to current students preparing to enter the job market. The event was made even more lively with cultural performances, including vibrant songs and dances. The evening wrapped up with the distribution of prizes for the creative writing competition, a lively Bhangra performance, and special gifts for all attending alumni, followed by a delightful dinner.
GNIM has been instrumental in giving a kick-starting to my career and thereof boosting it to a professional environment of Indian Job Market. The college and the faculty has furnished a full fledged support in whatever way it could and even to all the initiatives taken by us. This was more than what we could have expected from a college for its student fraternity. The Employers nowadays are seeking for candidates with positive attitude and aptitude rather than big names in the background. What matters is ‘How you do it’ rather than ‘What you do’. So just pull up your socks and get ready to face the world with confidence. Presentability and Communication skills always give a helping hand in whatever you do.
“Education is what transforms the life from dull lead to dazzling gold which not only shine in itself but brightens the beholder too…” Life at GNIM was filled with learning and fun. Knowing is not enough, applying what you know is more important. So, today as a Public Relations incharge, if I’m appreciated for my PR skills then I am only trying to apply the learning & the confidence that I gained in this very renewed institution. I consider it God’s grace that I spent my time at GNIM where I received every possible kind of encouragement and learning to develop my talent.
Hey there and thank you for giving me the opportunity of reconnecting to GNIM! Each time we visit our institute we hope that we will learn something new about the College, our former classmates, faculty and staff. The one thing I would like for you to learn now is that GNIM is hard at work to not only meet the needs of its students but also its alumni, the faculty and the staff. The management is always ready to create new and relevant programs to attract good placements and learning for the students of GNIM. The placement and alumni office is hard at work hosting events around the country to honor and reconnect alumni with one another. There has never been a better time to get more involved with your fellow alumni, I promise you. As your Alumni, I have the honor of representing my voice to the existing students of GNIM. During a recent get together and meeting with the faculty and the staff I came to remember why I so enjoyed my years at Wesleyan. It was (and is) the sense of “family.” I felt connected and welcome. I think many of you remember this feeling as well.
It takes only one step to succeed. Because, as the Chinese philosopher Lao-tzu said: “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” The first step was of Programme getting admission into GNIM for my PGDBM (2003-05 batch) which provided me the platform to give wings to my dream of becoming a successful Human Resource professional. Started with Samsung India Electronics, where I worked for about two years and was part of the HR function. From there, joined Hindustan Times Media Ltd where I was the HR Business Partner for the two critical functions of the Company. Presently working with India’s Coolest Airline IndiGo and takes care of the Talent Engagement & Internal Communication vertical. Thanks,
My tenure at college was one of the most informative periods of my life. I got lot of valuable inputs from the faculty & visiting staff. We really got a deep insight into the corporate world, its processes & mannerism. This was a platform that elevated us from being naïve graduates to industry ready post graduate.
